Component spot deployment

After creating distributed storage, you can still view and modify the deployment location of components, which is convenient for storage expansion and maintenance.

Update component deployment configuration

Cautions

Updating the configuration will trigger the system to automatically rebuild component instances, which may affect the service access of the storage system. It is recommended to perform the update operation during idle time.

Procedure

  1. In the left navigation bar, click Storage > Distributed Storage.

  2. On the Storage Component tab, click Component Deploy Config.

  3. According to business needs, turn on/off the Component Targeting Deployment switch, and deploy the component to the specified node. The number of nodes should be no less than three to ensure minimum availability. The components that take effect with targeted deployment configuration include MON, MGR, MDS, and RGW.

  4. Click Update, and the component will start to be scheduled to the specified node.

Restarte storage components

If you delete the deployed storage component, the system will automatically reschedule and redeploy the component according to the current component deployment strategy.

Procedure

  1. In the left navigation bar, click Storage > Distributed Storage.

  2. On the Storage Component tab, click the icon next to the component name, and then click Delete.
