Manages namespace members

Import a member

Supports batch importing members for a namespace and assigns corresponding permissions to users by assigning them the roles of namespace administrator or developer.

Constraints and limitations

• Only members of the Members of the project where the namespace is located can be imported as namespace members.

• It is not possible to import the system default administrator user or the currently logged-in user.

Prerequisites

The user whose members are to be imported into the namespace has already imported the project where the namespace is located.

Procedure

1. In the Project Management view, click the Project name where the member to be imported into the namespace is located.

2. In the left navigation pane, click Namespaces > Namespaces.

3. Click the Namespace Name where the member is to be imported.

4. On the Namespace Member tab, click Import Member.

5. Refer to the following sub-steps to import all or some users in the list into the namespace.

   Tip: You can select a user group from the drop-down list of user groups in the upper-right corner of the dialog box and enter a username in the username search box to perform a fuzzy search for users.

   • Import all users in the list as namespace members and assign roles to them in batches.

     1. Click the drop-down list to the right of the Bind item at the bottom of the dialog box and select the name of the role to be assigned.

     2. Click Import all.

   • Import one or more users from the list as namespace members.

     1. Click the checkbox next to the username/display name to select one or more users.

     2. Click the dropdown menu to the right of the Bind option at the bottom of the dialog box and select the role name to assign to the selected users.

     3. Click Import.

Add a member

When the platform adds an OIDC type IDP, OIDC users can be added as namespace members.

You can add members to the project as namespace roles that meet the input requirements for Valid OIDC Accounts and assign the corresponding namespace roles to the user.

Caution: When adding members, the validity of the account cannot be verified. Please ensure that the account you enter is valid, otherwise the account you add will not be able to log in to the platform.

Valid OIDC accounts include: Valid accounts in the OIDC authentication service added to the platform through IDP configuration, including OIDC accounts that have successfully logged in to the platform and those that have not yet logged in.

Prerequisites

The platform has added an IDP of type OIDC.

Procedure

1. In the Project Management view, click the Project name where the namespace to which the member is to be added is located.

2. In the left navigation bar, click Namespaces > Namespaces.

3. Click the Namespace Name where the member is to be added.

4. On the Namespace Member tab, click Add Member.

5. In the Name input box, enter a third-party platform account username supported by the platform.

   Caution: Please confirm that the username you enter corresponds to an account that already exists on the third-party platform, otherwise the account will not be able to log in to this platform successfully.

6. In the Roles dropdown list, select the name of the role to be configured for the user.

7. Click Add.
   After the addition is successful, the member can be viewed in the namespace member list.
   At the same time, in the user list (Platform Management > Users), the user can be viewed. Before the user successfully logs in or is synchronized to the platform, the source is - and can be deleted; after the account successfully logs in or is synchronized to the platform, the platform will record the source information of the account and display it in the user list.

Remove a member

Remove the specified namespace member from the namespace, and delete the bound namespace role to revoke the namespace-related permissions of the user.

Procedure

1. In the Project Management view, click on the Project name where the member to be removed is located.

2. In the left navigation bar, click Namespaces > Namespaces.

3. Click on the Namespace Name of the member to be removed.

4. On the Namespace Member tab, click the > Remove button on the right side of the member record to be removed.

5. Click Remove.
