Upgrade functional components

When a cluster is created or connected to a cluster on the platform, multiple business function components are deployed in the cluster, including the basic components of the platform, the monitoring component, the log agent, the network component, and the components related to sub-products. After the platform is upgraded, one or more functional platform upgrade components on the cluster may have new upgradeable versions, and the version of the functional components needs to be upgraded to ensure that the new features of the platform can be used normally on the cluster.

When displayed next to the cluster name or next to the cluster’s Functional Components tab! icon, it indicates that one or more of the cluster’s functional components have a new upgradeable version. At this point, all upgradeable components can be upgraded to the latest version through the platform’s one-click upgrade function. The upgrade of components is realized through the program, which reduces manual intervention, and reduces the complexity and error rate of the upgrade.

Prompt:

* When the global is also used as a cluster (allowing business applications to run), the business function components in the global can also be upgraded through the interface.

* During the component upgrade process, some functions of the platform may be unavailable, please select an appropriate time to upgrade.

* During the upgrade process, click ! [](/en/img/ace/acp/00deploymentlog.png) icon to view the upgrade progress and logs.

Procedure of operation

  1. In the left navigation, click Clusters > Cluster of clusters.

  2. Click the name of the cluster for the upgradeable component.

  3. On the Functional Components tab, click Upgrade.

  4. (Optional) Confirm the personalized configuration.

move the personalized configurations or adjust them to adapt to the upgraded version.
Check each one before performing the upgrade.

  5. (Optional) Set the target version for upgrading for components that support multiple versions (e.g. Kubernetes), either by selecting Do Not Upgrade or a specific upgradeable version.

    Prompt:

    • In the confirmation dialog box, you can view the name of the function component that can be upgraded, the current version, the target version of the upgrade, and the impact of the upgrade.

    • When the impact level of a component upgrade is ‘High’, please read the impact description carefully before upgrading, and click the Read checkbox on the right side of the corresponding component to ensure that all high-level impact descriptions have been read before confirming the upgrade operation.

  6. Click Upgrade.

Tips: If the upgrade fails to upgrade the component, please contact the technical support staff of the platform.
