Licenses
The license issued by our company is in the form of a certificate, which controls the usage period, cluster size, and other aspects of the product. The certificate will include information such as the license period, sub-product name, version, licensed resource usage, and so on. Each license is only allowed to be imported and used on a specific platform, and does not support sharing a single license across multiple platforms.
Upon successful deployment of the platform, a 5-day license will be automatically generated and activated. Before the license expires, you can apply for a long-term license issuance through the Customer Portal system.
Note:
-
Without a product license or after the product license expires, only the platform administrator role is supported to use basic functions such as platform management and project management. Access to other functional UIs will be prohibited.
-
For access to the Customer Portal, please contact technical support personnel for details.
Description of Platform License/Maintenance Contract
- License Types and Control Dimensions
The product encompasses two types of licenses: Product License and Maintenance Contract, each issued through the following four dimensions:
-
Time: Defines the effective start and end dates of the license.
-
Version: Specifies the software version for which the license is applicable, supporting downward compatibility.
-
Resource Usage: Includes the Resource Limit (vCPU) and Node Limit, which respectively control the total number of vCPU cores and nodes in the cluster.
-
Features (Sub-products): Clearly outlines the permitted range of sub-products for use.
- License Status
The priority of license status display is as follows:
-
Expired: The current time has surpassed the license’s end date.
-
Invalid: The license version is lower than the actual environment version.
-
Pending Activation: The current time is earlier than the license’s start date.
-
Activated: The license is actively in use.
- Resource and Node Limitations
-
Resource Limit: Applicable only to self-built clusters, including Global clusters, controlling the number of vCPU cores.
-
Node Limit: Applicable only to connected clusters, including public cloud-hosted clusters, controlling the number of nodes.
- License Functions
-
Product License: Ensures product functionality availability. Without a license, all UI functions except Platform Management and Project Management will be disabled.
-
Maintenance Contract: Determines whether the product is eligible for maintenance services. Without a maintenance contract, the product functions normally but maintenance services are unavailable.
- Cumulative Limits Across Multiple Licenses
-
Activated Status: Only licenses in the Activated state contribute to cumulative limits.
-
Resource Accumulation: The Resource Limit and Node Limit from multiple licenses accumulate to form the total environment limits.
-
Feature Accumulation: The feature scope from multiple licenses accumulates to form the total environment feature scope.
Special Note: Limit Management with Time Differences
In your environment, if there are multiple “Activated” licenses with varying “Start and End” dates, please note that as a license expires, the total environment limits will correspondingly decrease. Therefore, maintain continuous monitoring of your environment’s total usage to ensure it remains below the total limits, avoiding issues that may impact overall environment operation due to a single license expiration.
- Import Requirements
Both types of licenses can be imported individually or simultaneously, with no specific order required for importation.
Platform maintenance status
| Icon Color | Maintenance Status | Explanation |
|---|---|---|
| Blue | Under Maintenance | Maintenance service is active. |
| Yellow | Maintenance Alert | If the maintenance contract is within 90 days, the maintenance status will display a maintenance alert. |
| Red | Out of Maintenance | Your maintenance status will be displayed as out of maintenance in the following scenarios: |
