Create an account

The user management and role management functions of the platform are implemented based on RBAC (Role-Based Access Control). It supports permission control at the platform level, project level, and namespace level, helping you easily set the operation permissions of users under the tenant.

The platform presets 5 system roles based on common enterprise permission usage scenarios, and also supports platform administrators to customize roles according to actual usage scenarios. After associating permissions with roles, you can assign roles to different users to grant permissions to them. Similarly, by removing roles that users already have, you can revoke permissions.

Tip: To facilitate setting workspace access permissions for users after creating a workspace, this article only explains how to quickly create one or more accounts that can only log in to the platform but have no functional operation permissions. After the workspace is created, you can bind the workspace roles to the created accounts by importing members and grant corresponding operation permissions.

Procedure

  1. In the left navigation bar, go to Users > User Management page.

  2. Click Create User. Refer to the following instructions to configure user-related parameters.

    Parameter Description
    Password Type Click to select a type.
    Random: A new password with a higher security level will be randomly generated in the password input box.
    Custom: The user needs to enter a password in the password input box.
    Password Depending on the password type, a password is randomly generated or entered.
    When entering a password, the password must meet the following rules at the same time:
    Length of 8-32 characters;
    Contains English letters and numbers;
    Contains special characters, and the special characters supported are ~!@#$%^&*() -_=+?.

    Click the icon on the right side of the password input box to display the password. Click it again to hide the password.
    Click the icon on the right side of the password input box to quickly copy the password.
    Mailbox The user’s email address, associated with their username and can also be used as the login account for the platform.
    Roles This parameter is not currently configured.

  3. Click Create.
