Installing Alauda Container Platform Data Services Essentials
Optional Deployment
The plugin is a fundamental component of Data Services view; it can be omitted if web console are not required.
Prerequisites
- Download Alauda Container Platform Data Services Essentials that matches your platform.
- Use the platform's application listing capability to list the Alauda Container Platform Data Services Essentials in the
globalcluster.
Procedure
- In the left navigation bar, go to Marketplace > Cluster Plugins.
- Select the
globalcluster. - Click the operation button next to the Alauda Container Platform Data Services Essentials plugin > Install.
Installing Alauda Container Platform Data Services RDS Framework
Optional Deployment
The plugin is a fundamental component of Data Services view; it can be omitted if web console are not required.

- Download Alauda Container Platform Data Services RDS Framework that matches your platform.
- Use the platform's application listing capability to list the Alauda Container Platform Data Services RDS Framework in any cluster where you wish to use Data Services view.
Procedure
- Log in to the platform and go to the Administrator page.
- In the left navigation bar, select Marketplace -> OperatorHub to enter the OperatorHub page.
- Find Alauda Container Platform Data Services RDS Framework, click Install, and enter the deployment page.
Configuration Parameters:

| Upgrade Strategy | Manual: When there is a new version in the OperatorHub, manual confirmation is required to upgrade the Operator to the latest version. |
| Deployment Mode | Cluster: All namespaces under the cluster share a single Operator to create and manage instances, resulting in lower resource consumption. |

| Namespace | Choose Recommended Namespace: Automatically created if none exists. |
- On the Install Operator page, select Default Configuration, then click Install to complete the deployment of Alauda Container Platform Data Services RDS Framework.
Installing the Alauda Streaming Service for Kafka Plugin
Optional Deployment
This plugin manages Kafka instances for versions 3.x; if you need to manage 2.x instances, the Alauda Build of Kafka 2 plugin must be installed additionally.
Prerequisites
- Download the plugin installation package that matches your platform.
- Use the platform's application listing capability to list the plugin in any cluster where you wish to use Alauda Streaming Service for Kafka capabilities.
Procedure
- Log in to the platform and go to the Administrator page.
- In the left navigation bar, select Marketplace -> Operator to enter the OperatorHub page.
- Find Alauda Streaming Service for Kafka, click Install, and enter the deployment page.
Configuration Parameters:

- Find Alauda Build of Kafka 2, click Install, and enter the deployment page.
